Hiring: Experienced Bodyman Technician - Classic Car Restorations

Are you a skilled Bodyman Technician with a passion for classic cars and a meticulous eye for detail? Iron Horse Restorations in Cantonment, Florida, is growing and we're looking for a talented individual to join our dedicated team!

We specialize in high-quality classic car restoration, ranging from minor bodywork to full, frame-off projects. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship and delivering exceptional results to our clients. Creative ability and critical thinking are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Perform expert bodywork on classic and vintage automobiles, including but not limited to:
• Dent repair and removal
• Panel replacement and fabrication
• Metal finishing
• Lead work and plastic filler application (as needed)
• Welding (MIG, TIG, etc.)
• Panel alignment and gapping
• Restoration of rusted or damaged areas
• Work with various materials, including steel, aluminum, and fiberglass.
• Utilize a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with other technicians (painters, mechanics, etc.) to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and shop standards.
• Diagnose and identify body damage and recommend appropriate repair strategies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bodyman Technician, specifically with classic car restoration preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques and best practices.
• Proficiency in welding, metal shaping, fabrication and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and diagrams.
• Familiarity with various types of restoration projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Own tools are a plus, but not always required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
