Hiring NIC Apps and Utils Test Engineer (2+ Years Experienced)

We are looking for a Network Apps and Utils Test Engineer to specialize in the NIC application and NIC driver testing. The primary goal is work on test planning and execution of Broadcom High speed network interface cards, test setup bringing for automated test runs.

Key Responsibilities

• NIC Apps and Utils testing: Execute assigned test cases manually or in automated manner based on the assignments. Create test configs required for validation of NIC features.
• Infrastructure Troubleshooting: Use network sniffers (Wireshark) and traffic generators to debug connectivity issues, packet loss, or throughput drops within the fixed config pods.
• Test planning: Create test plans based on the software design specs and ensure correct test coverage, participate in daily/weekly meetings.

Technical Qualifications

• Networking Fundamentals: Strong grasp of L2/L3 networking.
• NIC Expertise: Familiarity with high-speed NICs (25G/50G/100G+) and offload technologies like RDMA (RoCEv2) and DPDK.
• Automation Tooling: Proficiency in Python for network task automation and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
• OS Knowledge: Comfortable configuring networking stacks in both Linux (iproute2, nmcli) and VMware ESXi.
• Switch Management: Experience configuring enterprise-grade switches

Preferred Experience

• Experience with NIC application, driver testing and automated OS deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters of Engineering with a 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills & debugging skills.
• Experience testing NIC controller for L2 features, good knowledge of TCP/IP stack.
• Excellent knowledge in at least one of the server OSes (Windows, Linux, ESXi)
• Understanding of OS fundamentals, services and configurations. Hands-on experience with OS specific tests for network controllers, servers platforms.
• Experience with network test equipment is an added plus– Protocol/PCIe Analyzers, Protocol Jammers, Load Generators (iPerf, Ixia, Medusa tools etc).
