Job Description:
The Hospital Information System (HIS) Implementation Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of HIS projects. This position is responsible for coordinating project activities, mobilizing business and clinical analysts, monitoring progress, and managing issues to achieve project objectives. Acting as a bridge between clinical teams, business analysts, technical stakeholders, and the client, you will drive seamless HIS implementation and foster collaboration across all parties. To succeed in this role, you should bring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in healthcare IT, project management, or related fields with strong leadership and communication skills to align diverse stakeholders and the proven ability to manage complex projects and resolve challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and managing project activities in alignment with established plans and timelines.
2. Monitor project deliverables to ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.
3. Identify, assess, and proactively resolve project risks and issues.
4. Provide regular project status updates to the Project Manager.
5. Ensure adherence to project standards, methodologies, and compliance requirements.
6. Oversee the installation, configuration, and optimization of system components to ensure readiness for use.
7. Conduct thorough system validation to confirm proper functionality, performance, and reliability.
8. Conduct system testing for newly developed modules and functionalities.
9. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for Business and Clinical Analysts to build capability and ensure effective system utilization.
10. Lead and guide Business and Clinical Analysts in executing:
a. Business process engineering (BPR) and realignment (BPA).
b. Requirement gathering and analysis.
c. System walkthroughs and demonstrations.
d. Master data collection and validation.
e. Preparation of user manuals and training materials.
f. Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
g. Completion of project documentation (e.g., BRD, UAT scripts).
h. System testing and configuration
i. Dissemination of healthcare domain expertise across the project team.
11. Manage user expectations and maintain strong client relationships.
12. Any other project-related activities assigned by your reporting manager.
