The Histology Lab Assistant performs the daily activities of various lab and clerical duties in the Anatomic Pathology department. Assists in clerical duties including typing; transcription; filing; answering phones; making copies; and patient registration. Coordinates surgical; cytological; and bone marrow case paperwork and slides for delivery to pathologist. Processes and tracks pathology material being sent to other labs for additional testing. Files blocks and slides. Assists the pathologists and lab director in other various duties.
