Title: Middle School History Teacher (Fall 2026)

Humanities at Great Hearts:

• Students read a selection of Great Books from the Western Tradition
• A strong and deliberate focus on primary sources
• Socratic approach and seminar style discussions in the classrooms

At the middle school level, the History courses offered are as follows:

• Introduction to the American Tradition – 6th grade
• Louisiana and Medieval History – 7th grade
• Ancient History – 8th grade

Requirements for teaching:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
• Certification is not required for general education
• All majors are welcome

Work Authorization - US work authorization is required, but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
