We are looking for an experienced
HME Contract Specialist
to manage the full contract lifecycle for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)–related agreements. This role is responsible for contract development, negotiation, administration, compliance, and performance management across equipment supply, parts, services, and support contracts.
The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting commercial interests, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements, and supporting operational and project delivery objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesContract Development & Tender Management

Review scopes of work and contract conditions to prepare comprehensive tender packages

Coordinate tender issuance and manage commercial and technical evaluations

Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to ensure risk mitigation and value optimization

Prepare contract award recommendations and business cases for approvals
-
Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) models and scenario analyses
-
Support sourcing of ancillary equipment, parts, and services related to HME operations
-
Assist with urgent or unplanned site sourcing requirements
-
Maintain the HME contract register and manage replacement of expiring contracts
Contract Administration & Compliance

Administer contracts post-award, including claims, variations, and extensions of time
-
Monitor contractor compliance with contractual, insurance, and security requirements
-
Ensure all contract documentation is properly maintained and stored

Review, verify, and implement contractual amendments and scope changes
-
Advise stakeholders on contractual breaches or non-compliance
-
Verify labour, parts, rebates, and discounts to ensure effective cost recovery
-
Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs, deliverables, and agreed terms
-
Align regional contract terms with applicable global framework agreements
Risk Management & Issue Resolution

Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks proactively
-
Support resolution of disputes, claims, and performance issues

Liaise with legal advisors on complex contractual matters when required
Financial Oversight & Cost Control

Review and verify supplier price escalation and adjustment requests
-
Negotiate and implement approved price escalations
-
Ensure purchase orders and invoices align with contractual scope

Monitor and report contract spend history and cost trends

Track market indices relevant to contractual pricing mechanisms
Contractor Performance & Supplier Management

Lead contractor progress meetings and issue formal meeting minutes

Monitor contractor performance using KPIs and stakeholder feedback

Facilitate quarterly and annual Tier-1 supplier reviews

Develop and maintain supplier KPI dashboards and performance reports

Manage global and regional supplier databases
Continuous Improvement

Support continuous improvement initiatives within contract management processes
-
Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend corrective actions

Structure complex or unstructured contract data into clear reports and insights
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Cost Engineering

5–7 years of experience in contract management or administration

Experience within mining, engineering, maintenance, or equipment supply environments preferred
-
Strong experience with equipment supply and support contracts (e.g., VMI, LCC, MARC, MOS, LPP)

Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, claims management, and variations
-
Exposure to both site-based and head-office contract administration

Experience working within supply chain or commercial functions
