Home Base Caseworker Position & Family Supervised Visitation Facilitator

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families, particularly children, through various challenges. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop plans for support, and connect them with appropriate resources. The case worker will be instrumental in advocating for clients and ensuring they receive the necessary services to improve their well-being. Change Advocates Family Services LLC is seeking to employ home-based caseworkers and supervised visitation facilitators to provide services to families who are involved in the child welfare system in Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Johnson and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide home based case management services
· Provide Parenting Education
· Understand and implement evidenced-based modalities
· Develop a Casework/Treatment Plan, weekly case notes, & monthly progress reports.

· Attend Supervision/Staffing bi-weekly

Services include

  • Participation in DCS Case planning

  • Housing/Community Resources/sobriety/mental health treatment

Requirements·

Homebased Caseworker- bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related human service field

Homemaker Parent Aid- High School Degree, GED, or Associate Degree with at least 4 years of full-time employment experience providing direct casework services to children & families including providing services to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children.· Bilingual applicants are desired· Valid Driver’s License in good standing.· Reliable transportation & auto insurance that complies with state law and department of child services· Successful clearance of local, state, and national background checks.· Ability to work some evenings and weekends.· Good writing skills.

In addition to the above: · Knowledge of family of origin/intergenerational issues· Knowledge of child abuse/neglect· Knowledge of child and adult development· Belief in the family preservation philosophy· Skillful in the use of Motivational Interviewing Qualified interested candidates only! Pay: $30-35 per hour (Homemaker Parent Aid)

Pay: $45-50 per hour (Home based caseworker)

Supervised Visitation Traditional Facilitator/Visitation Facilitation
Looking for positive and committed individuals who desire to ensure children are in safe and loving environments with an opportunity to flourish Change Advocates Family Services, LLC, is seeking to employ Supervised Visitation Facilitators/Visitation Facilitators to provide supervised visitation services to families who are involved in the child welfare system in Marion, Hendricks, Hancock, Hamilton, Johnson and surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and supervise parent/child and family visitations in the office, community, & home to work toward reunification.
  • Provide transportation to & from family visits when authorized
  • Evaluation of parent-child interaction
  • Understand and implement evidence-based modalities
  • Complete intake & monthly progress reports.
  • Attend Supervision/Staffing bi-weekly.
  • Attend court proceedings as required
  • Assess bond and attachment between parent-child.
  • Model, teach and redirect parent interactions as needed for the successful interactions between parent-child
  • Communicate with Family
  • Advocacy
  • Foster Parent Support
  • Family Assessment/goals of parenting time/positive parenting strategies/meal planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related human service field orHigh School Degree, GED, or associate degree with at least 4 years full-time employment experience providing direct services to children & families that includes providing services to families that need assistance in the protection and care of their children. (Enhanced Supervision)
  • High School Diploma or the equivalent and 21 years of age (Standard visits)
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Reliable transportation & auto insurance that complies with state law and Department of Child Services
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Successful clearance of local, state, and national background checks.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Good observational & writing skills.

In addition to the above:

  • Belief in the family preservation philosophy
  • Ability to assist families by strengthening, teaching, demonstrating, and role modeling appropriate skills.
