Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter

Full-Time | In-Office with Field & On-Call Responsibilities
Position Overview
Our growing non-medical home care agency is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Staffing Coordinator / Recruiter to lead caregiver recruiting, scheduling, onboarding, and retention efforts. This role is the heartbeat of our operations and plays a critical role in ensuring seniors receive reliable, compassionate care at home.
The ideal candidate is organized, sales-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You must be able to recruit quality caregivers, maintain compliance, solve staffing challenges quickly, and build strong relationships with caregivers and clients.
This position combines recruiting, staffing coordination, scheduling, and caregiver support.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Caregiver Recruitment
- Recruit, source, screen, interview, and onboard qualified:
- CNAs
- HHAs
- Companion caregivers
- LPNs (as applicable)
- Build and maintain an active caregiver registry to support agency growth
- Utilize:
- Hireology/Indeed
- Social media
- Community outreach
- Referral programs
- Job fairs
- Local healthcare networks
- Conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews
- “Sell” the agency culture and opportunities to attract top caregiver talent
Staffing & Scheduling Coordination
- Manage daily caregiver schedules and shift coverage
- Respond quickly to call-offs, staffing emergencies, and client needs
- Match caregivers appropriately based on:
- personality
- experience
- availability
- client compatibility
- Maintain high schedule fill rates and minimize overtime/uncovered shifts
- Participate in a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule
Compliance & Credentialing
- Ensure caregiver files remain compliant with Florida regulations and agency standards
- Maintain accurate records for:
- Level II background screenings
- CPR certifications
- TB screenings
- CEUs/in-services
- Driver documentation
- Licenses and certifications
- Track expiration dates and renewal requirements
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation management
Caregiver Retention & Culture
- Maintain consistent communication with caregivers
- Build strong relationships and improve caregiver retention
- Support a positive and collaborative office culture
- Participate in our “Win of the Week” recognition culture
- Help resolve caregiver concerns professionally and compassionately
Administrative & Office Support
- Answer incoming office calls and route appropriately
- Maintain caregiver and employee records
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and orientation
- Update scheduling and HR systems accurately
- Support office operations and client service initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- 1+ years of experience in:
- home care staffing
- caregiver recruiting
- healthcare scheduling
- healthcare HR or operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Sales-oriented mindset with confidence recruiting caregivers
- Comfortable handling urgent staffing situations
Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written)
- Experience in home care or healthcare staffing
- Familiarity with:
- caregiver credentialing
- background checks

- Florida home care compliance
- Experience using:
- Microsoft Office

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
