Home Healthcare Attendant / GDA NURSE

Candidate must be willing to visit and work at patients’ homes across Kolkata.

Location: Across Kolkata
Shift: 12 hours
Salary: ₹15,000 per month + Sunday duty bonus
Reporting To: Operations Manager

Role Summary

• Full-time, field-based home healthcare role involving direct patient care at patients’ residences
• Assist patients with personal care, monitor basic health parameters, and support safe mobility
• No household cleaning or cooking required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, sponging, grooming, oral care, and dressing
• Monitor and record vital signs including BP, pulse, oxygen level, and temperature
• Perform bedpan/diaper changes while following infection control practices
• Support safe patient movement (bed to chair, wheelchair, walking assistance)
• Feed patients, including Ryle’s tube feeding under supervision
• Maintain daily patient charts and records
• Escort patients to clinics or hospitals when required
• Follow hygiene standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• 10th / 12th pass (healthcare or caregiver background preferred)
• Prior experience as GDA / Patient Attendant / Home Health Aide is an advantage
• Freshers with a strong willingness to learn are welcome
• Able to read and write Bengali and/or Hindi
• Able to understand basic English instructions

Skills & Behaviour

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards elderly or chronically ill patients
• Physically fit to lift, turn, and assist patients
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and infection prevention
• Polite, calm, and respectful, even in stressful situations

Other Requirements

• Willing to travel within assigned areas across Kolkata
• Comfortable working shift-based schedules, including weekends and holidays as per roster
