Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of medical administrative support within the home care office, including scheduling, patient records management, and billing processes.
  • Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClinicalWorks, Epic, or Dentrix to maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth clinical workflows while ensuring adherence to medical management protocols.
  • Monitor compliance with industry standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and HIPAA regulations to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Implement office management best practices by overseeing human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and staff development within the healthcare setting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed care policies, utilization management procedures, and medical terminology relevant to home health services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a home care or clinic environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams in a healthcare setting. Marketing and sales knowledge highly desired.
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Teams, Matrix, Best Notes eClinicalWorks, or Epic.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and medical terminology essential for compliance and accurate documentation.
  • Experience with fiscal management including budgeting, financial oversight, and resource planning.
  • Background in nursing or acute care settings is highly desirable; clinic or hospital experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as billing, coding, scheduling, and patient communication.

Pay: $35,265.65 - $56,922.07 per year
