Home Care Physician Job summary (Duties & responsibilities)

To provide good clinical care:

1. Providing skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients.

2. Ordering diagnostic tests as needed, checking and informing patients of results as per clinics procedure.

3. Referring patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care you are able to provide

4. Consulting and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care

5. Documenting all care provided and education/information given to patients within their health record, as per clinics procedure

To maintain good medical practice:

6. Maintaining professional knowledge and standards through continuing medical education and personal professional development.

7. Having a working knowledge of legislation and standards of General Practice.

8. Maintaining a current resuscitation certificate.

9. Practicing medicine in a way that reflects the company’s values and mission.

Maintaining trust (professional relationships with patients)

1. Providing services courteously and respectfully, with regard to the cultural beliefs and needs of patients

2. Responding openly and following up complaints or feedback.

Working collaboratively with colleagues

1. Collaborating in regard to rosters and providing cover to ensure patients’ needs are met.

2. Working constructively and harmoniously with all healthcare staff to ensure patients receive optimal care.

3. Involvement in practice accreditation activities

2. Returning phone calls in timely manner

3. Completing documents i.e. medical reports in a timely manner

4. Demonstrating a working knowledge of company policy with regard to clinical practice as described in company manuals.

5. Reporting “events” or untoward incidents as per professional standards and clinics policy.

6. Ensuring immunization status is kept up to date.

1. Demonstrate a knowledge of and compliance with all relevant legislation and common law obligations.

2. Discharge of duty of care in the course of practice including meeting practice standards, and accountability.

3. Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedural guidelines that have legal implications, for example, ensure documentation conforms to legal requirements.

4. Identify and respond to unsafe practice, for example, implement interventions to prevent unsafe practice and/or contravention of law.

5. Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all ages and social groups.

7. Be always well-presented, friendly, courteous and obliging. Represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times.

8. Undertake all duties in a diligent manner, with honesty and integrity.

9. Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information.

10. Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary.

11. Ability to work cooperatively and independently & ability to prioritize and organize, with attention to detail.

12. Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications (Educations and Experiences):

1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience after bachelor’s degree in medicine

2. Registration from Medical council

3. DHA Licensed

Other requirements:

1. CME, Workshops and seminars

2. Basic Life Support

3. Infection Control Certification

4. Hepatitis B Vaccine

5. Must have the ability to walk moderate distances, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

6. Must have the ability to physically bear difficult working conditions. Must observe contact precautions, working hours significantly beyond regular schedule: Overtime and on-call as needed by the department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
