POSITION SUMMARY:

The Home Consultant is responsible for managing daily sales activities from the sales office, assisting prospective buyers throughout the home purchasing process, and serving as the primary on-site representative for the builder. This position is also responsible for providing exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers that result in a high level of customer satisfaction while demonstrating respect and professionalism. The Home Consultant is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales team goals, and must be committed to maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity in all dealings.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required for this position.

• Three years of direct construction related sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to contact clients, complete sales, and work independently for extended periods while effectively managing all sales office responsibilities.
• Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn.
• Must be proactive, self-disciplined, self-motivated, goal oriented, and have a demonstrated ability to follow projects through to completion.
• Ability to develop trust and confidence of customers, coworkers, and managers is required.
• Must be a self-starter with the initiative to work all incoming leads, follow up with prospects, and maintain accurate sales records.
• Must be able to demonstrate successful experience in sales.
• Must have and demonstrate knowledge directly related to the home building industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people daily.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent time management skills with attention to detail is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including correct spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure) is required.
• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy is required.
• Familiarity with relevant software, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word. The employee will be expected to develop proficiency in Salesforce/Newstar.
