FirmCare Life Sharing is a locally owned, rapidly growing home care provider serving families throughout the state of Georgia. We are currently seeking an experienced Caregiver/CNA who has worked with all aspects of senior care while also coordinating with the family and health care team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working solely with one patient and their family, must have reliable transportation to and from assignment, a great personality and a true passion for caring for others. The best candidate would provide exceptional home care with activities of daily living and personal care support.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW AND/OR AGENCY:
CPR & First Aid Certification
Valid PPD
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Home care experience is desired
Reliable transportation
Must pass background and sanction checks
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be vaccinated for Covid-19
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the patient in with daily care such as grooming, bathing, and toileting
2. Take and record vitals
3. Providing companionship and stimulation for the client including reading, walks (if applicable), etc.; and accompanying the client to doctors or other appointments.
4. Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment
5. Work with nurse and physicians to ensure that proper treatment is always administered
6. Observe symptoms and report information, including changes in health
7. Provide first aid or CPR when necessary
8. Planning and preparing meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client, and if necessary, feeding the client.
9. Document medical findings, symptoms and observation
10. Act as a consultant for the patient’s welfare
Employee May Not:
1. Administer or pour medication as mandated by law.
2. Cut the nails of any patient unless authorized by RN Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
· Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting unspecified weights with or without mechanical aids, depending on assignment requirements. Bending and stooping to prepare equipment for client or managing client environment. Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting to ambulate.
· Able to use required equipment and supplies safely and properly
· Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written)
· Proficient with documentation, computer applications and programs associated with the position
· Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
· Strong customer service skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
