Home Health Aide

Job Summary
Join our compassionate team as a Home Health Aide, where you will play a vital role in delivering personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes. Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs.
  • Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately.
  • Support medication administration following prescribed instructions while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, fostering a safe and engaging environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living space for clients.
  • Document medical records and care activities accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers.
  • Assist with specialized care needs including catheter care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care.
  • Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and medical instructions.
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
