Home Health Aide

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Monitor patient observations by tracking vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns promptly
  • Support clients with medication administration following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA privacy regulations
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe living environment
  • Document all patient care activities accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Assist with specialized care needs including catheter care, hospice support, working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities, and providing dementia or Alzheimer's care

Experience

  • Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation practices
  • Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus
  • Experience operating medical equipment like Hoyer lifts or blood pressure monitors is advantageous
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping is desirable
  • Proven ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and privacy regulations such as HIPAA

Pay: $19.65 - $20.00 per hour
