Home Health Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient well-being, with experience in home health, assisted living, and long-term care environments. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional comfort, ensuring they maintain independence and dignity in their living spaces.

Duties

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments through tailored approaches and patience.
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient progress and medical information precisely.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to promote a safe and comfortable environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed effectively.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance patients’ mental well-being during home visits.

Requirements

• Proven experience in home health care or related settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical documentation practices.
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications in dementia or Alzheimer’s care are advantageous.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized attention.
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly.
• Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for accurate record-keeping.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a respectful and compassionate approach to patient care.

Pay: $22.40 - $26.98 per hour
