Home Health Aide & Caregiver

Job Summary

In this vital role, you will provide high-quality assistance with daily activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those receiving hospice or memory care services.

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Observe and document patient conditions accurately,
  • Support patients with medication reminder
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment
  • Assist with specialized care needs such as catheter care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
  • Follow all safety protocols during patient care activities and respond promptly to emergencies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid training, and any state-specific caregiving credentials preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities or hospice needs is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Physical ability to lift patients safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform routine caregiving tasks involving mobility assistance
  • Compassionate attitude combined with reliability, patience, and a proactive approach to patient safety

Pay: $18.00 per hour
