Home Health Services Medical Biller

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller (Home Health) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding practices.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancies in payments if necessary
- Review EOBs, remittance advice, and other correspondence from payers
- Utilize medical collection best practices to ensure timely payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
