Home Health/Hospice Business Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Business Analyst supports financial and operational analysis across Cantex’s Home Health, Hospice, and Long-Term Care Pharmacy service lines. This role works closely with Finance, Operations, and Billing teams to review performance data, identify trends, and help leadership understand what is driving business results.

This position plays an important role in forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting. The analyst will help translate complex financial data into insights that leaders can use to make informed decisions about operations, performance improvement, and future growth opportunities, including potential mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

  • Experience working in a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar analytical role.

  • Experience analyzing financial or operational data and identifying trends that impact business performance.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare operations such as Home Health, Hospice, or Long-Term Care Pharmacy.

  • Understanding healthcare billing or reimbursement processes.

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Experience with reporting or data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to clearly communicate financial information to operational leaders.

  • Experience working with healthcare systems such as Home Care Home Base (HCHB), Framework LTC, Sage 300 ERP, Waystar, Availity, or similar platforms is helpful.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, Billing, and Reporting teams

Essential Functions:

  • Support Finance leadership with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and profitability analysis across HCBS and Pharmacare operations.

  • Analyze financial and operational data across Home Health, Hospice, and Pharmacy services to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Monitor financial performance by comparing actual results to projections and helping leadership understand key variances.

  • Assist with the monthly close process by reviewing revenue trends and helping reconcile financial data.

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and databases used to track financial and operational performance.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support operational leaders and executive decision-making.

  • Build financial models and forecasts that help leadership understand how operational changes impact financial outcomes.

  • Work with Finance, Operations, Billing, and Reporting teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across departments.

  • Assist with business case development related to pricing strategies, cost management, and operational improvements.

  • Support analysis related to potential mergers and acquisitions, including financial review and operational compatibility.

  • Provide backup support for billing operations when needed to help ensure continuity and accuracy.

  • Stay informed on healthcare finance trends and regulatory changes impacting Home Health, Hospice, and Pharmacy services.
