Impact Infusion Care is a locally owned pharmacy dedicated to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and service to our community. We pride ourselves on our commitment to patient health and wellness, and we are looking for a passionate and skilled Billing Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview:
As a Collection Specialist at Impact Infusion Care, you will be responsible for contract analysis, denial management, appeals and resolving claim issues with insurance companies. Previous experience collecting commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare claims is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up on unpaid accounts and handle appeals
• Resolve rejected electronic claims so that current submission is successful and future submissions are not rejected.
• Complete audit requests from insurance companies
• Document activity, communications, and correspondence in CareTend to ensure completeness and accuracy of account.
• Contribute collection expertise to the design of training and knowledge transfer programs, materials, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the RCM team

Qualifications:

• Proven understanding of processes, systems, and techniques to ensure successful collection actions with all payer types.
• Proven ability to identify gaps and problems from a review of documentation, make effective decisions, and take necessary corrective action.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven knowledge and skill in the utilization of MS Office software and pharmacy applications.
• Ability to complete job duties in a designated workspace outside the dedicated RCM location.
• Disciplined work ethic with ability to work remotely with little direct supervision and meet collection targets.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma and additional specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, and/or collections.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, HCPC and CPT coding systems.
• Previous remote work environment is a plus but not required.
• Prefer prior experience in Caretend
