A premium design and materials showroom specializing in kitchen, bath, and interior finishes for high-end residential projects is seeing a Home Remodel Sales & Design Specialist, where your knowledge for interior spaces and renovation projects will inspire homeowners to transform their living environments. In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in high-end sales, design, and construction to guide clients through their remodeling journeys. We work closely with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and contractors/ builders to source and design exceptional spaces using curated products from leading global brands.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their remodeling needs, preferences, and budgets through active listening and expert consultation.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead sales efforts and support the team in closing projects
  • Conduct consultations with homeowners interested in kitchen, bath, and full home remodels
  • Develop relationships with architects, builders, interior designers, and real estate professionals
  • Assist with project proposals and design presentations
  • Help implement marketing initiatives and showroom events to generate new business
  • Present tailored design options built either by yourself or one of our on staff designers. ( Ability to navigate or design with SketchUp, 2020, ArchiCAD, and layout design tools is a plus )
  • Negotiate project scopes, pricing, and terms confidently while upselling premium features such as lighting upgrades or custom finishes.
  • Manage account details using POS systems and maintain organized records of customer interactions, proposals, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, homeowners, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution from initial consultation through installation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions promptly, offering maintenance advice, and fostering long-term relationships for repeat business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales or inside sales within renovation, construction, or high-end retail environments.
  • Proficiency with SketchUp, 2020, CAD software and layout design tools is a great strength to exercise here but not a requirement.
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to upsell additional services or products effectively.
  • Knowledge of remodeling processes, construction practices, lighting design, and interior design principles.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse client bases; fluency in English is required.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, merchandising strategies, and marketing techniques is advantageous. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in showroom sales, remodeling, or design-build
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen and bath design in both concept and execution
  • Experience working with cabinetry, appliances, plumbing fixtures, and interior materials
  • Previous experience managing a team or showroom environment
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 2020 Design, SketchUp, or other kitchen design software
  • Background in construction, remodeling, or interior design
  • Understanding of pricing, margins, and project management

Compensation

  • Base Salary and commission Based on experience and network
