Job Description – Primary Home Room Teacher

Position: Home Room Teacher (Primary)
Reports to: Academic Coordinator / Head of Primary Section

Role Purpose:

To provide a supportive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for primary students, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional development through effective teaching and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main teacher for the assigned class, responsible for core subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) as per the school’s curriculum.
• Create and deliver lesson plans that are interactive, age-appropriate, and aligned with learning objectives.
• Establish a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and formal assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior.
• Foster strong teacher-student and teacher-parent communication through meetings, progress reports, and feedback.
• Integrate creative teaching strategies such as group work, projects, ICT tools, and hands-on activities.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and emotional support to students as their class in-charge.
• Collaborate with subject teachers, coordinators, and school administration for curriculum planning and co-curricular activities.
• Participate in school events, assemblies, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education / relevant field (B.Ed. preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
• Strong proficiency in English (spoken & written).
• Passion for teaching and commitment to student development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs45,000.00 per month
