Home Staging Designer

Job Overview
Surfside Staging is a fast-growing home staging company serving the San Diego market. We specialize in staging homes to maximize their market appeal and help properties sell faster and for top value.

We are currently looking for a creative, reliable, and hands-on Home Staging Designer to join our team. This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time depending on experience and skill set.

This role is perfect for someone who loves interior design, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of transforming homes into beautiful, market-ready spaces.

While staging is creative, it is also hands-on. Designers must be comfortable helping with packing, unpacking accessories, installing décor, and working alongside our install team during staging projects.

Duties

• Assist with designing and staging homes using furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, and accessories
• Pack and unpack staging accessories and décor with care
• Assist with staging and destaging projects at properties throughout San Diego County
• Help prepare inventory and staging items at our warehouse before installations
• Hang artwork and place décor with precision and attention to detail
• Maintain organization of staging accessories and design inventory
• Collaborate with the team to ensure each home is presented at the highest level
• Participate in staging consultations and assist with design planning when needed

Qualifications

• Experience in home staging, interior design, visual merchandising, or related design field preferred
• Strong eye for design, styling, and space planning
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift décor bins and accessories (up to ~30 lbs)
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Comfortable working at different properties throughout San Diego County
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Skills

• Social media marketing experience (Instagram, real estate content, etc.)
• Sales or client relationship experience
• Experience working with real estate professionals or staging consultations

Candidates with strengths in social media marketing or sales may have opportunities to grow into a larger role within the company.

Pay & Benefits

• $22 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
