About the Center: The Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County is located in East St. Louis, IL. The Center has been in operation since 1957 serving the needs of children, adolescents, and adults.

Overview: This is an opportunity to assist new and expectant families as part of the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Visit Program funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services. Provide home visitation services to strengthen the parent child relationship, encourage healthy child growth and development, nurture parents in their role as the child's first teacher, and prevent child abuse and neglect.

Key Duties:

• Complete core training within 90 days of hire
• Conduct regular home visits with new and expectant families
• Use evidence-based practice to assist families
• Maintain visit records using program reporting system
• Complete a comprehensive assessment for each new participant
• Develop and update a service or goal plan for each participant
• Provide family-centered and culturally respectful services

Reports to: Program Manager, Parenting for Success

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field
• Good oral and written communication skills
• General knowledge of computer documentation
• Valid driver’s license

Desired:

• At least one year of social work experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Pay: $20.00 per hour
