Your Next Great Adventure
The role of the Homebuilding Manager is to ensure Chesmar Home’s is building quality homes on time, under budget, while taking ownership of each community and maintaining professional relationships with your internal and external teams, vendors, developers, and customers. Representing Chesmar in the community, developing strategies for growth, and planning for the future.
- Reduce build time and increase efficiency
- Quality of homes
- Warranty satisfaction
- Identify, interview, hire, and manage Construction Managers
- Create a formalized training program for safety, product, leadership, and processes
- Cycle time and scheduling
- Preparing and monitoring home cost budgets with Construction Manager
- Ensuring homes are following applicable policies, regulations, and building codes
- Build relationships with internal team and external partners
- Managing a team of construction managers
- Bring new ideas, trade partners, & personnel
- Community appearance, spec, and model home appearance standards
- Manage cost control & variances
Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, business administration, or related field preferred but not required
5 + years of home building and related construction experience required
Strong organizational and time management skills with a systematic approach to accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication; approachable, clear, and effective with diverse audiences.
Collaborative team player with the ability to motivate, train, and build relationships internally and externally.
Self-starter: highly motivated, confident, adaptable, and goal-oriented under pressure.
Skilled problem solver with creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to drive solutions.
Financially astute with expertise in budgets, invoices, and vendor negotiations.
Professional and technically competent with solid construction knowledge, codes, safety, and blueprint reading.
Resilient and composed under stress, maintaining professionalism while achieving division goals.
