Homemaker/Companion (Male)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MALE Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and be committed to upholding resident rights while providing direct support in either a home community care setting or a group home environment. This is a 1099 Position.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including light housekeeping, errands, laundry, medication reminders, etc.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking as needed.
• Monitor and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help clients with mobility.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
• Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.

Requirements

• Must have a Level II background clearance
• Must have HHA or CNA certification
• Must have CPR and First Aid certifications
• Must have reliable transportation
• Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred
• Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients' needs.
• Basic cooking skills to prepare meals that meet dietary requirements.
• Ability to assist with mobility as needed.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
• A compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Certification or training in patient care or nursing is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
