(Honorary Intern) NABH & Ayushman Bharat Intern

Purpose of the Role

The NABH & Ayushman Bharat Intern will support public/private healthcare facilities in NABH accreditation and Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) implementation through hospital visits, follow-ups, documentation support, and coordination with hospital teams to improve quality, compliance, and patient services.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Hospital Visits & Field Support

  • Conduct regular visits to assigned hospitals/health facilities
  • Support implementation of NABH Entry Level / Full Standards
  • Assist hospitals in Ayushman Bharat PMJAY compliance and quality processes
  • Observe patient care, safety, infection control, and service delivery practices

2. Follow-up & Coordination

  • Follow up with hospital teams on NABH and PMJAY action points
  • Track progress on gap closure, corrective actions, and improvement plans
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, Ayushman Mitras, and hospital administrators
  • Support readiness for assessments, inspections, and reviews

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Assist in NABH documentation: SOPs, policies, formats, records, and checklists
  • Support PMJAY-related records, quality checklists, and compliance documents
  • Maintain visit reports, follow-up trackers, and facility-wise status sheets
  • Compile evidence (photographs, registers, records) for audits and reviews

4. Quality Improvement & Patient Safety

  • Support implementation of quality initiatives (5S, IPC, patient safety practices)
  • Assist in staff orientation, meetings, and awareness sessions
  • Support monitoring of key quality and service indicators

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (completed or pursuing) in:
  • Hospital Administration
  • Public Health
  • Healthcare Management
  • Nursing / Life Sciences
  • Any allied health discipline
  • Freshers with strong interest in hospital quality & public health programs are encouraged

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Willingness to travel frequently for hospital visits
  • Basic understanding of hospital systems (preferred)
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Interest in NABH accreditation, Ayushman Bharat, and quality improvement
  • Ability to learn guidelines, standards, and field processes

Intern Support & Certification

  • Travel reimbursement as per organizational policy
  • Internship Completion Certificate on successful completion

Evaluation Criteria

  • Attendance & punctuality
  • Quality of hospital visits and follow-ups
  • Documentation accuracy and timeliness
  • Understanding of NABH & Ayushman guidelines
  • Communication and professional conduct

Learning Outcomes

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per month
