Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented research professional to support faculty research on terrorism, extremism, and global security issues. This temporary position is intended for individuals who have completed a Master’s degree in a relevant field and have prior academic research experience. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring news outlets, academic publications, and policy reports; compiling and analyzing findings; and contributing substantively to ongoing research projects.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Track and review current news articles, policy reports, and academic publications related to terrorism, extremist organizations, and counterterrorism efforts..Summarize, analyze, and synthesize findings into clear, well-organized research briefs and reports.Maintain and update a comprehensive database of relevant news items, incidents, and scholarly sources.Provide background research, literature reviews, and fact-checking support for faculty projects, presentations, and publications.Assist with drafting research materials, annotated bibliographies, and supporting documentation as needed. Adhere to ethical research guidelines and handle sensitive content with professionalism and discretion.
