Hoofstock Assistant

We are looking to add an assistant hoofstock keeper to our growing team at the North Georgia Wildlife Park and Safari. In this role you will assist the hoofstock keeper in the care of ungulates. Primary duties include daily habitat cleaning, feeding, and enrichment. The hoofstock assistant may also be assisting with medical care, record-keeping, training and other as-needed husbandry duties. We are an education-focused facility that strives to connect people and animals. Our diverse collection of animals provides our employees numerous opportunities to educate the public.

Required Skills/Experience

• Hoofstock husbandry (equine, farm animals, or other ungulates)
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Record keeping
• Communication
• Ability to work as part of a team

Additional Preferred Skills/Experience

• Public speaking
• Veterinary Tech or Assistant
• Farm hand

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Experience:

• Farming: 1 year (Preferred)
• hoofstock: 1 year (Preferred)
