Hopsitality Ambassador/ Host

151 Kitchen | Bar is seeking a warm, polished, and guest-driven Hospitality Ambassador/ Host to join our team. This role is the first and last impression of the guest experience, setting the tone with genuine hospitality, professionalism, and confidence.

The ideal candidate understands that hosting is more than greeting guests — it’s about curating the flow of the dining room, maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

As a Host/Hostess, you will balance warmth with operational awareness, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently while supporting seamless communication between guests, servers, and management. A strong sense of presence, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for every table is essential.

Duties

  • Greet every guest upon arrival with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a welcoming presence.
  • Thank each guest or group for joining us and sincerely invite them back, ensuring a lasting positive impression.
  • Represent Cloud Nine Hospitality Group’s values through tone, demeanor, attitude, and polished presence at all times.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to maintain balanced service and optimal table flow.
  • Maintain an organized and accurate waitlist during high-volume periods with composure and clarity.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with management, servers, bartenders, and the kitchen to ensure seamless operational flow.
  • Assist guests with menu questions, special requests, and restaurant policies with confidence and hospitality.
  • Answer and manage phone calls professionally, providing accurate information and booking reservations as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the host stand and front-of-house entry area.
  • Support the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences by anticipating needs and maintaining awareness of the overall dining room environment.

Skills

  • Proficient in using POS and reservation systems; experience with Toast POS and Resy OS is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional guest awareness — the ability to promptly acknowledge every guest and ensure each person feels genuinely welcomed and valued.
  • A solution-oriented mindset: able to provide thoughtful alternatives when unable to accommodate a request, ensuring guests always leave feeling cared for.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest relations skills with a natural ability to build rapport.
  • Clear, confident, and professional communication skills with both guests and team members.
  • Ability to remain composed, organized, and detail-oriented while multitasking in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong phone etiquette and professionalism when managing reservations and guest inquiries.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, polished presence, and a genuine commitment to hospitality.
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred; a sincere passion for creating exceptional guest experiences is essential.
