About the Roles

Program Staff are the people who make the program run. You are the calm, capable, service minded adult who keeps the day moving, keeps systems tight, and protects the learning environment so scholars and teachers can focus on learning. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in being reliable, organized, and helpful, and who wants meaningful campus based experience while working with kids.

What You Will Do

You will own key operational services that sit at the heart of scholar care and daily program flow, including meals, swimming routines, transportation routines, and daily site readiness.

Daily operations and scholar support

  • Follow assigned routines and timelines so essential services happen consistently and on time
  • Maintain a steady presence that supports scholar care, safety, and smooth transitions
  • Communicate early when barriers come up and help problem solve quickly with site leadership

Safety, professionalism, and team communication

  • Reinforce safety expectations during high movement times and in higher risk settings
  • Maintain confidentiality, follow campus policies, and represent the program professionally
  • Complete required records and provide accurate updates to leadership

Sample responsibilities by assignment area

  • Nutrition: receive lunch delivery, manage lunch set up and distribution, deliver snacks to classrooms
  • Swim: support pool area readiness, set up, group flow, and supervision support as assigned
  • Custodial and site readiness: trash removal, high traffic area tidiness, space resets between activities
  • Bus monitor: ride the bus AM and PM to support supervision and safe transportation routines

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in person on Georgia Tech’s campus
  • Must be comfortable supervising and supporting youth in group settings
  • Must be able to be on your feet and moving throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift and carry basic supplies as needed for set up and resets
  • Willingness to complete required onboarding and youth program compliance steps (background check, code of conduct, etc.)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in summer camps, after school programs, customer service, logistics, food service, coaching, tutoring, or youth programs
  • Interest in education, public health, youth development, recreation, operations, or community work
  • Comfort supporting swim routines (you do not need to be a swim instructor)

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
