Horticulture Engineer

  • Needs Assessment: Identify and analyze the specific needs and goals of the horticultural project, such as crop types, growth conditions, and technological requirements.
  • System Design: Develop detailed plans and designs for greenhouse systems, irrigation systems, climate control, and other infrastructure components tailored to the project’s needs.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Prepare budgets and allocate resources efficiently to meet project requirements while optimizing costs.
  • Selection of Technologies: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, such as automated irrigation systems, climate control systems, and precision agriculture tools, based on project goals.
  • Implementation: Oversee the installation and integration of these technologies into the horticultural system.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, horticulturists, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and that tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Timeline Management: Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met and any delays are addressed promptly.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work and materials used in the project to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of installed systems, such as irrigation and climate control, to ensure they function as intended.
  • Adjustments and Improvements: Make necessary adjustments to optimize system performance and address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards related to horticulture and construction.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, designs, implementations, and any changes or issues encountered.
  • Staff Training: Develop and deliver training programs for project staff and end-users on the operation and maintenance of new systems and technologies.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to address any problems that arise during the project or after its completion.
  • Project Evaluation: Assess the overall success of the project in terms of meeting its goals, staying within budget, and adhering to timelines.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project outcomes, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for future projects.
  • Regular Updates: Keep all stakeholders informed about project progress, any issues, and changes in scope or timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
