Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Horticulturist to support the development of Miyawaki forests across India. The role includes site assessment, native species selection, on-ground supervision, and ensuring strict adherence to the Miyawaki methodology. The candidate must be comfortable with continuous travel, fieldwork, and coordination with local teams, nurseries, communities, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct soil, climate, and site assessments; identify suitable native species.
- Prepare plantation plans and technical reports as per Miyawaki standards.
- Supervise land preparation, soil mixing, mulching, watering, and plantation work.
- Coordinate with nurseries for procurement of healthy native saplings.
- Monitor growth, pest issues, and prepare weekly reports with documentation.
- Guide field teams and support community and volunteer engagement.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Miyawaki methodology during all stages.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Environmental Science (Master’s preferred).
- 1–3 years’ experience in plantation, horticulture, forestry, or restoration.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with the Miyawaki method and native species.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of plant health, soil science, pests/diseases, and species selection.
- Ability to manage field operations independently; good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively (90%) Pan India
- Good documentation and reporting skills.

Pay: ₹15,504.13 - ₹35,050.55 per month
