Hospice Aide (PRN)

Sequoia Hospice Care is currently seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to work as part of the core interdisciplinary group. The CNA will play an important role in providing holistic and patient centered care to the patients and families that we serve. Strong clinical and communication skills combined with a strong sense of compassion are required to ensure the highest quality of life for patients as we assist with their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing compassionate patient care in the comfort of their homes, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients while respecting their privacy and dignity.
- Documenting patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately.

Experience:
- Previous experience in hospice care of at least 1 year
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to senior care and dementia care
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
- Compassionate attitude and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
- CNA license that is active and in good standing with the UT Board of Nursing
- CPR certification is required

- At least 1 year of previous hospice experience required
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for home visits
