Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a passion for improving the quality of life for individuals in need.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility and transportation of patients using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities and provide specialized care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to caregiving and patient service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; critical care experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner is desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations is essential.
• Experience in various care environments including long-term care, home care, hospice care, acute care, and pediatrics is advantageous.
• Skills in medication administration, catheter care, phlebotomy, and vital signs monitoring are beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory upon hiring. Join our team as a Nursing Assistant where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
