INTRODUCTION:


A. This position is based at Raleigh Radiology Business Support Services, a business office supporting the operations of Raleigh Radiology, located at 5220 Greens Dairy Road, Raleigh, NC 27616, but will be a remote position.

B. The primary function of the Supervisor of Hospital and Physician Services Specialist is to oversee the daily operations of the tele team within their assignment, ensuring support between radiologists and the various medical facilities with the highest degree of quality and efficiency.

C. The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of staff schedules and regulating workflow for efficient departmental operations; this includes approving PTO, ensuring coverage, and approving time sheets.

D. The Supervisor’s responsibilities include assisting in establishing/updating protocols, policies, procedures; assisting with hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action plans; managing the tele team as they support the radiologists with daily operations.

E. This position requires a thorough understanding of tele team duties, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

F. This position is part of a decentralized hospital management department.

G. This position reports to the Associate Director of Physician Services

Key Responsibilities


Supervisory Duties:

  • Manage daily telehealth operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow.
  • Monitor productivity and quality, providing real-time feedback.
  • Serve as primary contact for hospital-level inquiries and audits.
  • Liaise between radiologists, managers, and hospital staff.
  • Conduct QA reviews and maintain protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Support the implementation and training of new applications.

General Duties:

  • Document and manage hospital imaging data using appropriate systems.
  • Ensure accuracy in patient records and imaging requests.
  • Respond to inquiries and direct unresolved questions appropriately.
  • Maintain productivity and professionalism in all tasks.
  • Represent Raleigh Radiology in alignment with its mission and values.
  • Monitor systems (Clario, RIS, hospital platforms) and alert radiologists to urgent exams.
  • Understand and support the full radiology workflow, resolving bottlenecks.
  • Handle communications from physicians and radiologist hotlines.
  • Acquire outside images and deliver reports to physicians per policy.
  • Identify and resolve IT issues, coordinating with IT as needed.
  • Monitor the WithinHealth portal and respond to patient/referrer notifications.
  • Adapt responsibilities as departmental needs evolve.
  • Foster open communication and teamwork across departments.
  • Model service-oriented behavior with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
Requirements:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE

A. Education: High School Graduate. An associate's degree is preferred.

B. Experience: Minimum 3 years of medical office experience. Radiology office experience is a plus. At least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
