Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and responsible Hospital Pharmacist to oversee all pharmacy operations within the center.

The pharmacist will ensure accurate dispensing, effective inventory and stock management, timely procurement, and smooth coordination with clinical teams—especially OPD and OT departments.

The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining high standards of safety, accountability, and patient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately according to doctor prescriptions.
• Maintain complete inventory—including ordering, receiving, stock updates, and daily checks.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely procurement of medicines, surgical consumables, and emergency drugs.
• Manage pharmacy billing and maintain digital/physical records of all transactions.
• Conduct expiry checks, ensure proper storage, and remove non-usable medicines.
• Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and vendors to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Maintain availability of OT drugs, injectables, and emergency medications at all times.
• Follow hospital pharmacy protocols including controlled drug management and safety guidelines.
• Maintain documentation such as purchase registers, stock audits, shortage lists, and compliance reports.
• Provide patient counseling regarding dosage, usage instructions, and safety precautions when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy or medical center.
• Strong knowledge of prescription handling, drug interactions, and dosage guidelines.
• Familiarity with pharmacy billing software and inventory systems.
• High accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced hospital environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a multi-specialty or surgical hospital.
• Knowledge of surgical consumables, emergency medications, and OT drug requirements.
• Ability to support urgent/critical supply needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of NABH protocols, medical compliance, and pharmacy audits.
