We are seeking dependable and customer-focused individuals to join our healthcare security team. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and hospital assets. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in a variety of situations.

Position Overview

Hospital Security Specialists provide a visible security presence throughout the facility while assisting with safety concerns, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain composed during emergencies.

Primary Duties

• Perform regular inspections and security rounds of hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding property.
• Observe and monitor security systems, including video surveillance and intrusion detection equipment.
• Investigate suspicious activity and respond to security-related calls for service.
• Prepare clear and accurate documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Monitor entrances and restricted areas to ensure only authorized individuals gain access.
• Assist with emergency response procedures and support hospital staff during critical situations.
• Identify safety hazards and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and public safety agencies when needed.
• Inspect security equipment and communicate operational or maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

• Dependable work ethic and strong sense of responsibility.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and exercise good judgment.
• Comfortable working independently while remaining part of a larger team.
• Previous experience in security, public safety, healthcare, military, or customer service is beneficial but not required.
