Hospital Switchboard Operator

Job Summary
Chief Safety Solutions, LLC is seeking building a healthcare team as a Hospital Switchboard Operator, where you will be the vital communication hub that keeps our hospital running smoothly. In this role, you will manage multi-line phone systems, connect callers to the appropriate departments, and provide exceptional front desk support. Responsibilities

• Operate multi-line phone systems efficiently, answering and directing incoming calls promptly and courteously
• Provide excellent phone etiquette to all callers, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times
• Assist visitors at the front desk by greeting them warmly, verifying appointments, and guiding them appropriately
• Dispatch messages and coordinate with hospital departments to relay urgent or routine information accurately
• Perform data entry tasks related to patient information, visitor logs, and internal communications with high accuracy
• Maintain organized records of calls, messages, and visitor logs for administrative purposes
• Support clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence as needed

Experience

• Previous clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare or front desk setting preferred
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and dispatching procedures is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency in data entry and typing skills to manage records accurately and swiftly
• Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette and customer service excellence
