Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Hospitalist shall provide direct patient care as a “Hospitalist” in accordance with the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau; assist in promoting the Hospitalist Services to the medical staff and the community; participate in departmental staff meetings and educational activities.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required

  • Must complete in-house orientation program

  • MD or DO degree.



Experience And Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Speaks, reads and writes English

  • Clinical experience taking care of inpatients.



License/Certifications

  • Licensure to practice medicine in New York State.

  • Registration certificate with the Drug Enforcement Agency.

  • Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn

  • Fine motor skills, typing.

  • Sedentary work with prolonged sitting.

  • Sitting in front of computer for long periods of time.

  • Standing for long periods of time.

  • Twisting and/or bending when examining patients or performing procedures.

  • Occasional requirement to move heavy patients greater than 100 pounds.

  • Exposure to infectious material, disease, chemicals and radiation.
