Hospitalist for Rehabilitation Hospital - Flexible schedule, build your own practice!

We're looking for a motivated Internal Medicine physician to join our team covering an acute inpatient rehab facility here in the DC area. This isn't your typical 7-on/7-off, high-acuity gig.

The rundown:

• Flexible schedule: Set your own rounding times. No more being tied to a rigid hospitalist-group shift schedule. This is a true "round and go" opportunity for an independent-minded physician.
• Independent Practice: This is a 1099 independent contractor position, and you'll be building your own practice at our hospital. You'll be managing your own patient panel and have control over your professional life.
• Lower Acuity: Patients are typically stable and working on rehabilitation from things like strokes, brain injuries, or orthopedic procedures. You'll manage their medical comorbidities and any minor acute issues that arise, with more significant issues being transferred to the main hospital.
• Collaborative environment: Work closely with physiatrists, rehab nurses, and therapists as part of an interdisciplinary team focused on getting patients home safely.
• Competitive Compensation: This is a "eat what you kill" model, meaning you'll be compensated for each encounter, with no cut taken by a staffing agency.
