About Corner Coffee

Corner Coffee is reimagining coffee and community gathering space located in the heart of downtown Miami within First Church Miami.

Inspired by our iconic stained-glass installation and commitment to hospitality, Corner Coffee exists to serve residents, students, visitors, and the broader Miami community through exceptional coffee, meaningful service, and beautiful gathering spaces.

All café profits support the church's homeless ministry and community outreach efforts.

We are currently seeking Baristas to help build a new culture of hospitality, excellence, and accountability as we relaunch the café.

Position Summary

The Hospitality Associate/Barista is the face of Corner Coffee.

This role focuses on:

• welcoming guests
• preparing beverages
• maintaining cleanliness
• supporting café operations
• creating an outstanding customer experience

No previous coffee experience is required.

We are willing to train individuals with the right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly
• Take orders accurately
• Prepare coffee and tea beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of café and seating areas
• Restock supplies
• Assist with pastries and food presentation
• Support events and community programming
• Create a welcoming environment for all guests

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Customer service experience
• Restaurant or retail experience

Not required:

• Barista experience, but preferred

Must:

• Be dependable
• Be positive and professional
• Enjoy interacting with people
• Be willing to learn
• Be available mornings, weekends, or both
