Job Overview

The Independent Ice Co ( www.independentice.com ) is seeking a part-time host for Weekends and some weekdays

The position is the first impression we make on our guests and a smile with great communication skills is a must. This role sets the tone of the restaurant by greeting and seating and checking on guests. FOH staff efficient assisting as needed with clearing tables and running items

We are hiring immediately for part-time. Additional shifts and expanded hours will be available in the next 4-6 weeks as well

Applicant must be at least 18 years old.

Duties

• Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and assist with seating arrangements
• Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the FOH
• Assist with guest services, including providing menus, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special needs

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest relations techniques preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
• Professional etiquette and guest interaction skills are essential

Pay: $16.75 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14.0 – 35.0 per week
