Cafe Monarch is seeking a poised, personable, and highly organized Host to join our distinguished front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in setting the tone for an exceptional fine dining experience. The ideal candidate brings polished communication skills, genuine hospitality, and a natural grace under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and provide elegant guidance to their table

• Manage the seating chart with precision to ensure seamless flow and optimal guest comfort

• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, assisting with reservations and inquiries

• Conduct confirmation and post-dining feedback calls to ensure a refined and personalized guest experience

• Present seasonal tasting and wine menus and initiate water service with sophistication

• Maintain our signature candle program, ensuring ambiance aligns with our high standards

• Print and prepare daily menus with accuracy and attention to detail

• Assist guests with gift card purchases, both in person and over the phone

• Maintain a pristine and organized front-of-house environment

• Coordinate with servers and culinary staff to support timely, attentive service

• Address guest requests and concerns with discretion and professionalism

• Utilize reservation and POS systems, including OpenTable and SpotOn.

Qualifications

• Prior host/hostess or hospitality experience in fine dining preferred

• Exceptional customer service skills and a guest-first mindset

• Impeccable verbal and written communication

• Familiarity with POS and reservation systems (SpotOn & OpenTable a plus)

• Ability to multitask efficiently in a refined, fast-paced setting

• Background in hotel guest services or luxury service environments is a plus

• A polished appearance, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn are essential
