Duties

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm upon arrival, making them feel valued from the moment they walk in
• Manage reservations efficiently and coordinate seating to optimize flow
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest comfort and convenience
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, special requests, and accommodating any accessibility needs
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive experience

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast POS is advantageous
