We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a host. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will possess background in hospitality and customer service, with the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials while answering any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Utilize POS systems such as Shift4 POS for managing orders and payments.
- Answer phone calls for taking orders, making reservations, and dealing with guest inquiries.
- Enter online orders into the POS while keeping time management in mind.
- Learning all possible menu options, allergens, and possible modifications.
- Bringing waters to new customers and refilling waters at the tables.
- Helping pre-bus and bus tables and working to bring the items organized to the dishwasher.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area.
Skills
- Previous experience as a host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving and hospitality practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
