We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional guest experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times to guests.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Open Table experience is preferred, But not required
