Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel instantly welcomed and appreciated
• Manage reservations and seating charts efficiently to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times
• Communicate clearly with guests about wait times, specials, or menu updates using professional phone etiquette when necessary
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process reservations or manage guest information accurately
• Assist the servers and restaurant staff when needed.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or host in a food service or restaurant environment
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including reservation management and POS systems like Toast POS
• Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
• Experience with serving, guest services, and hospitality standards is highly desirable
