Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining or hospitality experience. This role is vital in fostering a warm, hospitable environment that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Duties

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a lively and professional attitude, making them feel immediately welcomed
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and minimize wait times while accommodating special requests
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu highlights, and restaurant policies via phone or in person
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization at the host stand and waiting areas
• Support team members by providing guest information and addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

Skills

• Prior experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant environments preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and hospitality standards
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience working in hotel or guest services environments is a plus
