Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate with guests about their wait times.
- Provide menus and inform guests of any specials or promotions.
- Assist in managing the flow of the dining room to ensure a pleasant experience for all patrons.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant's offerings and services.
- Support servers and kitchen staff by communicating guest needs effectively.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in the host area and throughout the restaurant.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to build rapport with guests, enhancing their overall dining experience through exceptional guest relations.
- A proactive attitude towards helping others and resolving any issues that may arise during service.
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality environments can be beneficial but is not required.
